This is a wonderful Art Noveau style Villa (built 1904) in a very nice Nature Reserve Area of Laajalahti. The surrounding area has two bird watch towers for the bay and its large reedbed offers a perfect place for nesting for tens of different species of birds. The Villa offers a cozy cafe with delicious pastry (both salt and sweet). The service is friendly and prices ok. The athmosphere of 120 years old Villa is special. City of Espoo maintains a permanent nature centre and its exhibition (free entrance). There are outside tables for safe catering too. In Villa Elfvik and the nature reserve you easily forget being in the middle of an urban area. If you are by bike - I would recommend driving around the whole Laajalahti bay. It is about 18 km and it has many lovely terraces to stop for a beer or a cafe.

Very nice place in the nature. A nice old Villa converted to a cute café. A pretty basic, but tasty buffet with soup, filter coffee, tea, some cakes and quiche.

Next to the nature reserve. The interior reminds me of English arts and crafts period. Very good food. One of the best salmon soups we have had anywhere.
